Information Center (Library)
The information center equipped with the state-of-the-art technology backs the traditional library services and meets the information needs of the users within the shortest time and on ultimate level and thus aims to build up the infrastructure of the scientific R&D workings and learning teaching training activities for the academic year.
The information center serves with its modern building comprised of 4 storeys, 8000m² area and the capacity of 950 persons. There are 27 personnel employed at the information center, including 7 librarians.
The information center enjoys a rich collection inclusive of 150.000 published books, 165.000 electronic books, 971 periodicals, 37.046 electronic journals, 10.046 CD-DVD materials and 53 online databases providing a basis for scientific researches. All publications available at the information center is accessible via OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue). All theses conducted at the SDU have been reached over online system as of 2001.
