Course List

When choosing the courses for your Learning Agreement, consider that you are allowed to select courses from all the faculties we have -as long as they are of any interest to your academic curriculum.

Although we renewed the course list recently, you might find out that some of the courses you chose from the website are not actually available when you arrive in Isparta. If this eventuality occurs, remember that you have one month to change your original Learning Agreement after your arrival.

Insurance

It is very important in order to obtain your Resident Permit to live and study in Turkey. Please read the instructions given carefully for more information.

All international students can take the advantage of “general health insurance” coverage in Turkey. If you have the "general health insurance", you can use all state hospitals without a fee and also private hospitals paying a moderate fee. For benefiting from the General Health Insurance System in Turkey, you should firstly go to the International Student Office to get information. Then you should go to the Social Security Institution with neccessery documents to apply it personally. When you complete your application, you will pay your general health insurance fee which is determined on an annual basis within 1 month from the date of Social Security records.

If you don't apply for general health insurance system within the given time period (in 3 months), you cannot benefit from the general health insurance services of the State. But, you can use your international health insurance if you have one or you can get private health insurance in Turkey. Some universities may also offer special insurance policy for their international students.

Please also bear in mind that Turkey is known with its high quality doctors and health facilities, although it has relatively low service prices. Therefore, many people from neighbour countries as well as from developed western world prefer to come to Turkey in order to get healthier and cheaper treatments on dental, eye examinations, surgery, etc.

If we take your residence time into consideration, going to your dentist before your trip; carrying a spare pair of contact lenses and glasses (and take your optical prescription with you); and carrying a first-aid kit will be helpful for you.

Visa & Residence Permit

Passports should be valid at least six months longer than the expiry date of the requested visa. The term "official passports" covers diplomatic, service, special and official passports. Regardless of the visa regime applied towards the citizens of a country, the travel document holders of that country need to obtain visa from Turkish missions beforehand.

If you have a valid visa, you do not need a residence permit up to 90 days. On the other hand, foreigners who shall reside, work or study in Turkey, should register themselves at the nearest local police department upon their arrival in Turkey, regardless of the validity of their visa.

As of April 17, 2013, electronic visa (e-Visa) replaces “sticker visa” which was issued at the border crossings. Applicants just need to log on to www.evisa.gov.tr, provide the requested information, (after the application is approved) make online payment and download their e-Visa. Please note that e-visa is only valid when the purpose of travel is tourism or commerce. Other purposes, such as work and study, require regular visa given by Embassies or Consulates.

For more visa information, please visit Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ official website: https://www.mfa.gov.tr/sub.en.mfa?cc4e437c-6769-4d79-9017-10b63c651224

For more information regarding residence permit, please visit Turkish National Police’s official website: https://www.egm.gov.tr/EN/Pages/Residence-Permit-Procedures.aspx

Please remember that your university may help you all the way during your residence permit procedure.
